Good Evening,
From the Video Pile: ‘We interrupt this program’: The day the Cold War put Fort Wayne on edge.
From the Reading Pile: TV stations should focus more on depth and emotion in stories, study suggests.
Northeast
Where Are They Now? This morning, Chad Mitchell and Maria Knight began co-hosting mornings at KMLE-FM in Phoenix, Arizona. While in Fort Wayne, he was the producer for the locally hosted "Rusty Humphries Show" on then-Talk/WGL (1250am, Fort Wayne), before Mr. Humphries became a syndicated talk show host and podcaster.
Central
After two years with Nexstar's CW affiliate/WISH-TV (Channel 8, Indianapolis), reporter and fill-in anchor Emily Kinzer exits.
Tribune's FOX affiliate/WXIN-TV (Channel 59, Indianapolis) promotes reporter Lindsey Eaton to weekend anchor at FOX 59. Ms. Eaton joined FOX 59 and CBS affiliate/WTTV-TV (Channel 4, Bloomington) in late 2014. (WTTV gained the CBS affiliation on January 1, 2015).
Southwest
After four years in front of the camera, Sports Director JoJo Gentry exits Bayou City Broadcasting's CBS and FOX affiliates WEVV-TV (CBS on 44.1, FOX on 44.2). After graduating from Butler University, Ms. Gentry joined WEVV as it restarted local news in 2015, rising to Sports Director in 2017. Ms. Gentry was Evansville local TV's first female sports director.
