We need a few people to help stain 5 beds for next week's delivery to Louisiana; wear old clothes, and meet Bill Flynn in the breezeway after dinner.
Meet our New Members!
Please offer a warm welcome to John and Sandra Holman. You'll usually find them at the 8:30 service- when they are not traveling, that is. They have a goal of seeing as much of the US as possible, including visiting all of our National Parks to delight in God's majestic creation. Note of Caution: extended conversation with the Holmans may cause you to run home and pack a bag for your own emergency "wilderness therapy" experience! They both enjoy reading, and John is an avid photographer. They are looking forward to learning more about the outreach ministries here at Parkway Hills, so please help them find their own ways to welcome, grow, serve and celebrate with our church family.
Meet our New Members!
You probably already know Alan and Susan Branson - you may have sat by them in the Open Doors Sunday School class or during the 10:45 service. We are so happy they are now officially members!  Alan is the Chief Operating Officer at Hope Enterprise Corporation, (read about Hope's mission and vision here.) He also recently received his PHD in Public Policy at Jackson State University.  Susan, who has a passion for sewing, is a first grade assistant at Madison Station Elementary. They have raised 5 amazing children. Their oldest daughter is married and teaches in Virginia, one son is a Jackson attorney, two others attend Ole Miss, and their youngest daughter attends Southern Miss. They are already in our church directory, so look them up and help them find their own ways to welcome, grow, serve and celebrate with us here at PHUMC!
Palm Sunday, April 9th: 8:30 and 10:45 am
The last day to order Easter Candles is Monday, April 10th. 
Place your order form in the offering plate or drop it off in the office.
Proceeds will support the Costa Rica Mission Team.
Easter Egg Hunt, April 9th: 3:00 pm
This year the children will visit several stations for crafts and activities as they learn about the "Great Surprise!"   Please bring 12 filled eggs for each participating child when you come to the event.
Maundy Thursday, April 13th: 7:00 pm
This meaningful Holy Thursday service includes remembering Jesus' last comandment, communion and the stripping of the church. 
Good Friday Program, April 14th, Noon
Lunch following the service.
Cross Decorating right after lunch.
Bring a few flowers and some greenery from your garden, (or from the grocery store!), to add to our 'Living Cross'. Join this annual tradition of preparing the cross for our Easter Celebration.
Easter Celebration Services, April 16th: 6:30, 8:30, and 10:45 am
The Sunrise Service is held outdoors and it will be chilly - Dress warmly.
Join our Lenten focus on communal prayer: #2PMPrayer.  Each day as close to 2:00 pm as possible, (wherever you may be), stop what you are doing and take a few moments to join your church family in prayer.
