In this talk, Professor Yoav Benjamini reflects on the origins and early development of the false discovery rate (FDR) and the Benjamini-Hochberg method, marking 30 years since their introduction and recent recognition with the Rousseeuw Prize. He will also share current research exploring FDR methodologies in the context of reporting medical study results in professional journals.
