Upcoming Password and Account Management Portal upgrade: What’s changing, what to expect and when |
|
|
The Department of Information Technology Services’ Identity and Access Management (IAM) group will be upgrading the Password and Account Management Portal user interface on Tuesday, Dec. 16, to improve your experience when managing your account.
During this window, the system may be briefly unavailable. After the update, it is recommended that users take a moment to explore the new layout. The knowledge-base articles will be updated to align with changes for the upgrade.
There are a few important enhancements to highlight so you know what to expect next time you reset your password. The biggest difference you will notice is the webpage’s modernized design. Key tools such as password reset have been reorganized to be easier to locate and quicker to access.
Information Technology Services will send a reminder closer to the date of the upgrade. No action is required from users in advance.
If you have any questions or run into issues after the upgrade, please email idmanagement@radford.edu. Feedback is always welcome.

LIFT program for course innovation |
|
|
Are you looking for help in redesigning a course? Would you like to incorporate a peer-supported undergraduate research project? Are you interested in confidential, informative feedback on your in-person or online teaching? Do you want to increase motivation, innovation, belonging and active learning in your courses?
Consider joining the LIFT program (Learning Innovation for Fulfilling Teaching) and working with the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL) and colleagues on redesigning a course.
LIFT has two tracks you can choose from:
|
-
The LIFT track includes an all-day teaching institute for active learning and innovation on Thursday, Jan. 8, including two course observations and a midcourse review conducted by a CITL professional, as well as a written reflection on goals at the end of the term. This track takes place during spring 2025. For more information, contact Samantha Blevins, assistant director of faculty development for CITL.
- The Elevate Research track includes a mostly asynchronous course on redesigning a course for an undergraduate research experience from late May to early June and partnering with an undergraduate research mentor to help with your students’ research projects. Look for an Our Turn session on the program in January 2026. Registration will be available in early spring. The Elevate track will focus on courses in the 2026-2027 academic year.
