  1. 2024 is finally here! A new year and a new semester are underway. To everyone new to GVSU, welcome to the beginning of your journey as a Laker. And to those returning, welcome back. Let's have a great semester! Get involved, check out some events to attend here.

  2. All graduate students beginning a thesis or dissertation in the Winter 2024 semester or enrolled in a 695/795 course are required to attend one Project, Thesis, and Dissertation Workshop. The Graduate School will be hosting three workshops this semester, one in person and two online. Students can register for a session here.

  3. Improve your professionalism this year. PACES events are back for the semester! The first event is about Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness on January 19. Register today here.

  4. Do you want to study abroad while at GVSU? The Study Abroad Fair is on January 17 in the Henry Hall Atrium. Explore your options to get the best experience possible. For more information, check out their website!

  5. Get your resumes ready! The GVSU Career and Internship Fair is around the corner. Whether you are graduating in April, wishing to secure a job, or looking for a summer internship, there will be 230 employers in attendance on February 22 at DeVos Place Convention Center. RSVP today! To help prepare for the Career Fair, on February 2 there will be a PACES session about learning how to connect with a recruiter. Register for the session here.

The MLK Jr. Day of Service and Solidarity is part of a National Day of Service where campuses across America gather together to serve and stand in solidarity with their communities in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year's MLK Day of Service, our excitement soars as we unite with 15 non-profit organizations in Greater Grand Rapids. Sign up to volunteer, spots are limited!
