| Renovation Updates
Thanks to everyone who came out for the big Memorial Day Pool Launch Party. It was certainly well attended!
Our small spa is currently being repaired, and we anticipate it will be up and running with functioning jets by this weekend. Early next week, we expect the large spa to be fully repaired, with jets also restored. Thank you for your patience as we troubleshoot these issues.

The East Wing addition is now expected to open just after the second week of June. Inspections and last-minute details must be completed before occupancy can be permitted.

RVR Community Joins in Memorial Day Tribute |
A group of RVR homeowners gathered this Memorial Day to join American Legion Post 100 in honoring those who served our country. The event, held every year, was a meaningful opportunity to remember those who served, and it reflected the strong spirit of respect and gratitude. Laura Hanssen led a neighborhood parade of cyclists to the event, helping residents arrive together for the occasion. Thanks to everyone who came out to participate in this special tradition.

Reminder to Remove and Store Deer Fencing |
To view the Design Review Guidelines on deer fencing click here.
As a reminder, the deer fencing removal deadline was extended through Friday, May 15, to give residents additional time to take down and store fencing for the summer season. Now that the extended deadline has passed, we kindly ask any residents with remaining fencing in place to remove and properly store it as soon as possible to help maintain the beauty of the RVR community.
A friendly reminder to RVR residents storing deer fencing for the off-season: please ensure all fencing materials are kept out of sight from the street and neighboring properties. Whether stored in a basement, attic, crawl space, garage, or offsite location, fencing should be placed where it has no visual impact on the RVR community.

Thinking About Fire Mitigation? Start Here |
Did you know that small, proactive improvements can make a meaningful difference in reducing wildfire risk around your home?
As part of the ongoing Ranch House renovation project, a few fire-wise updates are already underway, including the removal of multiple evergreen trees and the addition of fine mesh gutter guards and vent screens. These thoughtful upgrades help prevent dry leaves and debris from collecting in gutters and reduce the chance of embers entering vulnerable areas of the home-simple changes that add an extra layer of protection.
| |
For those considering similar improvements, a mesh size of 1/8 or 1/16 inch is recommended to help block embers while still allowing for proper airflow. (One important note: this type of mesh should not be used for dryer vents, which require unrestricted airflow for safe operation.)
The RVR Design Review Committee continues to support homeowners in making fire mitigation improvements. In fact, the Twenty-Second Amendment to the Design Guidelines, adopted last year, was designed to make these kinds of updates even more accessible. Homeowners now have greater flexibility to reduce tree counts, there is an emphasis on thoughtful, qualitative landscaping rather than strict numbers.
If you’ve been thinking about making fire-wise improvements, it’s a great time to get started. Administrative Review Applications are free, and many projects can be approved quickly through this process. Larger or more complex projects may be reviewed by the committee, but either way, we ask that a Home Improvement Application be submitted to get started.
