Save the Date: GW Research Showcase 2024 |
GW’s Research Showcase provides a unique opportunity to celebrate our scholarly community and engage external partners. The scope and vision for GW Research Showcase has evolved in recent years, and as a result, the Office of the Vice Provost for Research is enlisting campus partners to reimagine the event.
This university-wide celebration will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 1, 2024. More details will be shared soon. Additionally, a number of schools and units will host their own celebrations of student innovation and creativity. View the GW Research Showcase website for the current list of school events.

Science Friday Announces Theme for Remote Broadcast at GW |
Science Friday, a popular science radio program, will stage a remote live broadcast at GW on Saturday, March 23, 2024. The show's theme is "National Treasures". Annual conflict of interest and conflict of commitment disclosure forms are due Monday, February 12, 2024. Identified individuals were issued links to complete these forms via email from msgsystem@usmail.compliance360.com (Compliance360), the university’s disclosure system. Technical questions about completing the form should be sent to Ashley Fountaine, Director of Ethics and Compliance, at fountainea@gwu.edu.

Bogliasco Fellowship in the Arts and Humanities |
An American nonprofit with a program in Italy, the Bogliasco Foundation awards one-month fellowships to individuals who have made significant contributions in the arts and humanities. Fellows live and work near Genoa in a small group setting to encourage inquiry and transformative exchange across disciplines. Since its founding in 1996, the Foundation has welcomed approximately 1200 Fellows from 63 countries.

| L'Oréal USA For Women in Science Fellowship |
The L’Oréal USA For Women in Science program awards five women postdoctoral scientists annually with grants of $60,000 each for their contributions in STEM fields and commitment to serving as role models for younger generations.

This responsible conduct of research (RCR) seminar features a discussion of scientific rigor in the context of research in different disciplines, the nuances and grey zones related to scientific rigor and research integrity, and the need to balance scientific rigor with other principles inherent to responsible research. This session is part of GW's comprehensive RCR training program.

Learn about the importance of peer reviewing for dismantling the Western canon and democratizing knowledge, as well as strategies you can use to engage in more inclusive peer reviewing practices.
