[1] Mary Hull-Drury:

February Member of the Month

Mary got her start in the association management field back in 2006 as an association executive for a local Realtor chapter in Wenatchee, WA. Since 2012, she has been on staff with the Washington REALTORS. [2] WSAE's Official Publication Reinvents Itself

Winter 2023 Issue Available for Your Reading Pleasure
Consistent with WSAE’s Commitment to Diversity Statement and new name (Washington Society for Association Excellence), the WSAE Board of Directors at its January 2023 meeting approved the Marketing & Communication Committee’s recommendation to change the name of The Washington Executive to The Washington Confluence: Where Association News & Views Come Together. Take a look at the refreshed visual identity that accompanies the new name in the Winter 2023 issue, as well as WSAE's latest news and views.

[3] Recognizing the History,

Culture, and Contributions

of Black Americans

The origins of Black History Month can be traced back to the early 20th Century. Decades later in 1976, President Gerald Ford officially recognized Black History Month and called upon the public to “seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history." Learn more about the black-led nonprofit organizations making history, how you can help, and heroines and heroes from Washington State history.

[4] It's Time for You to Pick Your PIC

Peer-to-peer information exchanges are a key asset offered through WSAE membership. Such exchanges help you establish new, as well as maintain current relationships. In addition, they help you maximize your learning and networking potential. That is why WSAE launched earlier this month its new Professional Interest Categories (PICs). PICs will help you identify WSAE programs and services you are most interested in and/or align with your career. Go to your online member profile and designate those Professional Interest Categories that most interest you.
