Sunday, August 30 is the last day to wait-list for closed classes. Starting August 31, you must ask the professor or department for a permission number to add. You may drop or swap classes online until the published deadlines.

Organizing your time? You have options: View the semester at-a-glance, search or filter dates in chronological order, or focus on registration dates, such as “last day to drop classes online.” Check out the student academic calendars online.

Metrolink offers students with a valid student ID a 50% discount on train tickets and passes.

On Labor Day weekend, Saturday through Monday, September 5 to 7, no classes are in session and campus offices are closed. Visit websites to check hours for the Student Recreation Center and other facilities.

Find a new hobby or meet some new friends at the Meet the Clubs event on the University Library Lawn, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The CSUN community is invited to join the Veterans Resource Center to mark 25 years since September 11, 2001. The program will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Northridge Center Complex in the University Student Union. Please RSVP by Friday, September 4. 

Are you an on-campus student employee interested in preparing for your career after CSUN? From Here to Career is looking for CSUN supervisors and student employees to form the fall 2026 cohort. Applications are being accepted through 5 p.m. on September 8. A supervisor (CSUN staff or faculty) must complete the registration form to enroll.

The “CSUNATC Innovation” track at the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference (March 8 to 12, 2027) will spotlight emerging assistive technologies, accessible products, prototypes and breakthrough ideas that can improve the lives of people with disabilities. Innovators can showcase their concepts, demonstrate solutions, and engage with the global assistive technology and accessibility community. Submit your innovation now through September 22.
