Thank you to all the faculty who attended our coffee tasting event in the FacDev Commons. Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Carlos Ruvalcaba demonstrated a variety of coffees and brewing methods for faculty to taste. We are also fortunate that Provost Komarraju was able to stop by.

"I'm currently researching ways to enhance the resiliency of supply chains and operations. I also focus on improving healthcare access to underserved communities. This semester, I'm teaching SOM 306: Operations Management, and BANA 640: Supply Chain Analytics. My goal in teaching is to bring lots of industry examples and connect what's taught in the classroom to the real-world in an enjoyable manner."

Professor Kurtzman is excited to share that their paper, “Understanding PETE Faculty Members’ Perceptions of K–12 Teaching Experience in Higher Education,” has been accepted for presentation at the 2026 AERA Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, April 8 thru 12. He’ll be presenting in a paper session titled “Research on Higher Education PETE Faculty.”
