Your Watershed Needs Your Voice
Please join us as we continue the discussion we started at our March 9 watershed group meeting. We seek to enhance protection and management of our public watersheds under increasing intensity of use. We strive to bring together residents, visitors, and all agencies for coordinated action to ensure sustainable watershed health.

Wander Your Watershed
Wandering with Good Intent
This Saturday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Markleeville Enhancement Club is hosting its spring event. Volunteers will pick up litter along the stretches of Highway 89 between Turtle Rock Park and the cutoff to Monitor Pass that are adopted by California Alps Cycling and Alpine Watershed Group. There are also opportunities to do good work in town and at the two creekside parks. Enjoy the lovely spring day by helping to steward your watershed! Meet at the corner of Highway 89 and Montgomery Street in Markleeville.
Watershed Thanks
A huge thank you to Karri Smith for generously donating a load of very cool restoration tools, useful equipment, and awesome reference books. We are excited to put these items to use with volunteers later this year!
