UO EVENTS
  • Games, pizza, cupcakes, and prizes are on the agenda for Pride Game Night today, 4:30–8:30 p.m. in the Knight Library Browsing Room.
  • Take a field trip to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center RiverBend in Springfield for a behind-the-scenes career tour and question-and-answer session with healthcare leaders on Friday, May 10, 9:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Free and open to all majors. Meet at the Duck statue by Ford Alumni Center.
  • Join the UO community for Intertwined, a free storytelling event featuring tales of triumph and resilience, vulnerability and reflection, on Tuesday, May 14, and Wednesday, May 15, 7:00 p.m. in the Ford Alumni Center Ballroom.
  • Sign up to be a Ducks Give Ambassador and encourage your friends and family to be philanthropists for a day. Students are encouraged to write a thank you note to donors on Thursday, May 16, 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. in the EMU.
  • Unwind and meet new people at the Men's Resource Center Pizza Night on Thursday, May 16, 5:30–6:30 p.m. in 230 EMU.
  • The Portland-based Filmed by Bike Film Festival will screen its 2024 submissions on Saturday, May 18, 5:00–9:00 p.m. in 156 Straub Hall. Cost is $5 for students and food is included.
  • “Mental Health is Health: Embrace the Balance” is the theme for this year’s Mental Health Art Show on Monday, May 20, 4:00–6:00 p.m. in the EMU Redwood Auditorium. Free snacks will be served. Sign up by Monday, May 13, to include your art in the show.

  • Take advantage of the Grocery Shuttle to local stores on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, 6:00–7:30 p.m. RSVP to claim your spot.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS
  • Sign up for the Stress Less Hike on Wild Iris Ridge on Friday, May 10, 3:00–6:00 p.m., and share in discussions to help process climate anxiety. Meet at the Outdoor Program Rental Barn; $5 for students.
  • Meditation Mondays continue in the Duck Nest Wellness Center, with the topic of loving kindness on Monday, May 13, 4:00–4:30 p.m. in 041 EMU.

FUN FACT
It's Lane County Bike Month. Since starting its bike share program in 2018, the PeaceHealth Bike Share program has expanded to 350 bikes and forty stations around town.
