Women's Ministry Brunch
Join our Parkway Hills United Methodist Church Women's Ministry for brunch Saturday, May 16 at 10 am at Beagle Bagel in Madison. RSVP to Christine Morrison so she will be able to reserve adequate space for us.

Calling all rising Kindergarten through rising 5th grade to join us Sunday, June 14 - Wednesday, June 17, 5:30 to 8:00 pm for Snowball Mountain Challenge. Invite your friends and come learn how God is the source of our strength through stories, games, food, and fun. We will close out VBS with a pizza party at Liberty Park Wednesday, June 17 at 5:30. Thank you Parkway Hills for all the Grace Place Support!
Sunday, May 10, Susan Branson shared in worship about the Race for Grace Place benefitting the ministry at Galloway UMC to serve those who are unhoused or face food insecurity. Susan shared that the 2026 Race raised $78,000, which will keep Grace Place operating for another year.
Not only did Parkway Hills aid with the success of the race, but we have teams who attend worship alongside the friends of Grace Place and volunteer to make sure those friends are served a good meal following worship. We also have a team that goes once a month to work in the clothing closet, and thanks to your financial gifts to Parkway Hills, we are able to help cover some of the administrative costs to make Grace Place happen as well as make quarterly purchases for much needed hygiene items to be handed out as needed. Our last quarter purchase is pictured above and includes ponchos, shave kits, washcloths, belts, deoderant, soap, body wash, flash lights, and combs, and sealable plastice bags.

Parents of 5th and 6th graders: An email went out this week with all of the below events requesting feedback via a Google form so we can effectively plan for this group as confirmation begins. If you did not receive this email, let Pastor Dawn know. You can access the Google form to confirm your child's attendance by clicking here.
Sunday, May 17: Sunday Night Bridge; 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Our 5th and 6th graders are invited to a night of food, fellowship, faith development, and fun. Meet in the Bridge room at 5:30.
Sunday, May 31 at 4:30: Zoom with Bridge parents to cover Confirmation schedules and expectations. Zoom link will be emailed to parents.
Confirmation Retreat: One of our first events with our confirmands is a retreat all about the Bible, what the Bible is, what it is not and how we read and understand certain areas of the Bible. The link above has possible dates. Please click the link and let us know what works best for your child.

Sunday, June 7: Youth VBS Night 5:30 to 7:30. Jennifer will join our youth and lead them in their own time of VBS fun, prep them for volunteering, and assign areas. You don't have to be volunteering with VBS to attend, but If you plan on aiding with VBS, we hope to see you there.
Sunday, June 28: Mountain T.O.P. prep meeting with youth and adult volunteers. 5:30 to 7:30.
July 5-11: Summer Mission Experience with Mountain T.O.P. Cost $300; Second deposit of $100 was due April 30. Individuals may still sign up as long as there is space at the camp. Let Pastor Dawn know if your plans change and you wish to attend. Final Payments: $100 due May 31, $50 due June 30. As always, don't let money be the reason you don't go! (Thanks to our Youth Trip Scholarship Fund we are able to cover some of the cost for every youth bringing it down to $300.)

Our May Communion Offering will support the 2026 Faith Build with Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area. The plan is to rehab a home on Stonewall Street. This home was the 500th house built in honor of Elise Winter. The initial homeowner has moved into an assisted living facility and it is now time to redo the house and prepare for a new homeowner so that we don't have another home sitting idle when there are so many families that need a safe, decent, affordable home. In addition to our offering, stay tuned for Parkway Hills' work dates to aid with the build.
