The Teaching & Learning Center is always looking for ways to strengthen the faculty development programming we offer. One of the best ways to do this is to listen and respond to faculty needs regarding how they wish to enhance their own teaching and further student learning. Some of you might remember the very brief needs assessment from last fall that helped inform winter/spring programming. From your feedback, we offered just-in-time teaching strategies on different teaching modalities (hybrid and in-person teaching), flipped classroom, academic technology (e.g. Zoom, BlueLine features, etc.), and initiated Zoom student-worker assistant program in collaboration with The EDGE, to include training guides for students and faculty.
Looking ahead to 2021-22, we hope to collect valuable feedback through a brief needs assessment survey to inform and prioritize programming efforts for the upcoming academic year. This needs assessment was developed by the TLC staff with guidance from the Faculty Development Advisory Group (FDAG). Click here to complete the brief survey. The survey will close on May 21.
We hope all faculty and interested professional staff consider completing the survey and very much appreciate your feedback. If you have questions, contact Sarah Lux, PhD, TLC Administrative Fellow.

Record Breaking Percentage of Annual Assessment Submissions! This year, 92% of academic and co-curricular programs submitted their annual assessment program reports to Taskstream, the University-wide Assessment Management System. We wish to express our sincere thanks to all the programs for their diligent work to submit completed assessment reports.
Currently, Peer Reviewers are reading through the submissions and composing feedback for each of the participating programs. The review process is an involved procedure that requires time, but we hope to have feedback available to each program by the end of June. Please contact Sarah Oliver for additional information.
