Candi Wenger, a 12-year military veteran as a naval aviator and a major in the Tennessee Air National Guard, prepared for her next chapter, local government leadership in her hometown, at Lipscomb. Read more. 

May 2025 graduate with degrees in law, justice and society, and urban leadership and policy served two consecutive terms as Student Government Association president. She had internships at TBI, an attorney general's office and the legislature. Read more.

There are many events happening in the College of Leadership & Public Service n this fall. Below are highlights of some of the activities coming up this semester. 

This semester in the College of Leadership & Public Service the Don R. Elliott Lecture with Liz Wiseman takes place on Nov. 13 (register here). Students are also invited to a student event with Wiseman that afternoon, while the community is invited to the main lecture at 6 p.m. (with a reception before at 5 p.m.). Other activities this this fall: MPA students travel to Washington, D.C.; LJS students travel to Washington, D.C., and Moot Court will compete in a regional tournament at the end of the semester. Organizational leadership webinars and conflict management lunch-and-learns are also planned for the semester.
