Banana Waffles
Makes about 8
Ingredients:
2 c pureed bananas (about 4)
1/2 cup chia meal
1 c water
1 c nondairy milk
1/4 c oil
1 c whole wheat flour
1 c all purpose flour
2 T baking powder
1 T cinnamon
1/2 t salt
1 t vanilla
Directions:
Preheat waffle maker(s).
Blend or whisk all the liquid ingredients together. Add the dry and blend just until combined. Alternatively, you can put all ingredients into your blender and blend until combined.
Pour onto waffle iron sprayed well with cooking spray. Cook until browned and enjoy with toppings of your choice. A mixture of half maple syrup, half unsweetened applesauce is delicious and a great way to cut down on the sugar content!
