Loving Our Public Lands
Our next virtual watershed group meeting is for everyone who appreciates the recreational opportunities of Alpine County. This means you!
Recreation: Trends, Impacts, and Solutions for the West Fork Carson Watershed
Tuesday, March 9, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
We will be using Zoom, so you can tune in from either your computer or your phone.
This meeting is part of the West Fork Carson River Vision Project process led by the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board. After a brief refresher on the project by Cindy Wise, we will have presentations by:
Brian Hansen, Recreation Officer, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, Carson Ranger District
Shelly Blair, Environmental Scientist, California Department of Fish and Wildlife
Please join us to hear about and discuss where we are headed with recreation-related issues in the West Fork Carson River watershed, especially in terms of COVID-19-related recreation trends, and how any problems might be addressed on our public lands.
Help spread the word by sharing the flyer and the Facebook Event. Thank you!
