  3. Finals are quickly approaching. Stay organized to reduce stress and testing anxiety. Getting enough sleep is very beneficial to your success. College students should sleep around 6-8 hours a night. Check out the Student Academic Success Center website for more information on how to be successful during finals!

  4. The School Psychology M.S./Psy.S. graduate program celebrated their 10-year anniversary this year. To commemorate the occasion, the program hosted an event that brought together faculty, current students, alumni, field supervisors, community partners, and university administration. In addition to remarks by graduate program director, Dr. Kristen Schrauben, K-12 partners, Terri Metcalf from Fennville Public Schools and Steve Johnson from Cedar Springs Public Schools, spoke of the high-quality training the program provides and the value districts see in their partnerships with GVSU.

  5. Commencement for the Winter Class of 2024 will be April 26th and 27th at Van Andel Arena. On April 17th, Alumni Relations is hosting Toast, a celebration for students graduating this semester. Toast includes brief remarks from an alumni speaker and President Mantella and a champagne toast. The event is free for students to attend. All attendees will receive a gift of a commemorative Laker for a Lifetime champagne flute. More information and registration can be found here. Congratulations to all graduates!

  6. When Jowei Yek was presented with the option to pursue a master’s degree, he knew GVSU was his top choice. Jowei was largely drawn by the rich, nurturing network he built during his undergraduate tenure. He is grateful for the option and institutional support to complete two master's programs in Business Administration and Social Innovation, concurrently. For the past three years, Jowei developed a strong sensitivity to community issues and systems thinking through the PMASI program and expanded his toolkit to solve complex business challenges. Check out the full article to learn more about Jowei and his accomplishments.
