The Humane Society of the United States Animal Rescue Team transported 8 current shelter residents from Louisiana SPCA to Nashville Humane Association in order to make room for the many displaced animals due to the recent tornado and storms in New Orleans.
These large and small mix breed dogs (age range: 1 to 8 years old) arrived Friday, February 17th.
Please check back within 5-10 days if you are interested in adopting any of these dogs.
Upon their arrival and before they move to NHA’s adoption floor, our dedicated staff will get them all current on vaccinations / spayed and/or neutered, complete behavior assessments and, of course, give them lots of love! Once they are available for adoption, photos will be posted on our Website and to our Facebook Page.

Nashville Humane Association is committed to the mission of finding responsible homes for animals, controlling pet overpopulation and promoting the humane treatment of animals. Incorporated in 1946 to protect the well-being of animals in Davidson County, we are one of the oldest service organizations in Nashville. The roots of NHA can be traced back to a society founded in 1887 to protect children from inhumane working conditions and draft horses from mistreatment.
In 2016, we are proud to have placed 3801 companion pets into homes.
On behalf of all the animals, thank you for your commitment and support of
