Spring Semester Central Provides Lists, Tips, Important Dates, and More!
We know the start of the semester can be overwhelming, especially if you're just starting your higher education journey, are new to Cypress College, or it's just been a little while since you've taken some classes. We've compiled a list of tips, services, important dates, and frequently asked questions to guide you through these first few weeks of the semester.

Remember, all of us at Cypress College are invested in your success, and that means we are always here to help you! Look for employees wearing blue buttons this first week of classes, or stop by the information booth at the Campanile bell tower Monday or Tuesday. We'll even have some giveaways! The Student Activities Center on the 2nd floor of Gym II will also have a snack and coffee bar Tuesday through Thursday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. this week to help you push on through.

Also, please note that access to parking has changed. With construction beginning on the new Science, Engineering, and Math Building, parking Lot #7 is now unavailable. Lots #4 and #5 were recently expanded to accommodate for the construction area. Lot #9 may also be a good alternative. View parking information in Semester Central.

(STEM)2 Program Provides Support, Guidance, Camaraderie
You're invited to apply to (STEM)2, a free program for students declared or interested in Science, Technology, English, and Mathematics. The program provides transfer support, counseling, free textbooks, summer research and scholarship opportunities, university tours, and more. Applications are due Wednesday, February 6.

Brad Pickler Selected to National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame
Charger Softball Head Coach Brad Pickler will be inducted into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame at the end of the year. In 31 seasons at Cypress, he has amassed 1,300 wins and nine CCCAA State Championships. In 2017, Pickler's team completed the first-ever undefeated State Championship run in CCCAA softball history, finishing the season 48-0.

Art Gallery Exhibition: "Trajectories" Opening Reception
"Trajectories" features works by the college's photo faculty, curated by Cypress student Patience Joy Flaro. When: Thursday, February 7 @ 6 - 8 p.m. Where: Cypress College Art Gallery The exhibition continues through Thursday, February 21.

If you received an add code for a class, we encourage you to add the class in myGateway (or with a counselor) as soon as possible so it will appear on your schedule and you'll be included on the professor's class roster.
