Dr. Jon Ritter, MD, has dedicated more than 30 years of service at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital and WashU Medicine where he provides superb clinical care, exceptional compassion for patients, and extraordinary respect toward colleagues and caregivers. Despite his heavy clinical responsibilities, Jon is a well-recognized, world leading expert in lung diseases, publishing more than 120 peer-reviewed papers, 7 review articles, and 8 book chapters. Jon is also an exemplary mentor who cultivates generations of trainees who become outstanding surgical pathologists with successful careers in academic institutions.

Dr. Suzanne Thibodeaux, MD, PhD, Dr. Suzanne (Suzie) Thibodeaux oversees the transfusion medicine service where she continuously thrives to improve patient care, offering a wide range of services to patients who undergo apheresis. Under her direction, the Cellular Therapy Laboratory offers a broad selection of cell therapy products for patients at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. In addition to being a superb clinician, Suzie is a beloved educator and mentor. Her compassionate and personal style of mentorship makes her office a welcoming space for trainees seeking guidance.
