The Power of Girl-Led Business
As a fabulous volunteer, you know the two Product Programs are an integral part of Girl Scouting. The skills learned through Product Program help girls develop skills and traits they will use far into their future.
Product Programs are the engines that power troop and girl activities. They are the vehicles that allow girls to dream big and make their troop and individual dreams a reality. They help build large scale teamwork and cooperation. They take troops from their meeting places to local businesses, events, and then into the bigger world. They are the vehicles that propel girls and troops to conduct amazing community service projects and engage countless lives. The proceeds earned by troops and girls through Cookie and Cashew Cash ensure all of these great things and more are possible!
Last year, Girl Scout Heart of Michigan troops earned a combined $1,378,963 in troop proceeds! The average amount of troop proceeds was $730. Girls earned a combined $59,081 in Cookie Cash. The troops' and individual girls' Cookie Cash is helping girls and troops do amazing things and realize their dreams.
We are excited to support troops and girls to fulfill their goals.
Your product team stands ready to partner with you!.

We know girls gain valuable life skills by belonging to Girl Scouts. In addition to developing strong leadership skills, they learn to be philanthropists, problem solvers, and creative thinkers. The only thing better than the girls in your troop gaining these skills is when more girls do the same.
Another benefit to girls of belonging to Girl Scouts is making new friends…wouldn’t you agree? January is a fabulous time of year to have the members of your troop think about which of their friends (who is not already a Girl Scout) they’d like to invite to give Girl Scouts a try.
Here’s a fantastic idea from Mason Area Girl Scouts!
Mason Daisy Troop–Try out a Girl Scout Meeting!
The Mason Daisy Troop sends home invitations to all kindergarten and first grade families three times during the fall and once in both January and February. These invites encourage girls to attend one of their Daisy Troop meetings to “try it out” and see if it is a good fit for them. This creates a welcoming, low pressure atmosphere for a wide variety of families to experience Girl Scouts for the first time! This practice also reminds the community that the best time to join Girl Scouts is TODAY. Mason Area Girl Scouts note that at least one girl joins every time they send an invite.Opening up your troop to more girls can open up a world of friendship and possibilities for your girls, too. Talk to your troop-make a plan to take action today and invite some new members into your troop. Need help? Contact your Membership Specialist and they can assist you.
