Next week, Quincy Broadcasting's ABC affiliate WPTA-TV (Channel 21, Fort Wayne) will welcome new reporter Louie Tran. Mr. Tran last worked in California as a reporter for CitiCABLE. Mr. Tran will appear on both "ABC21" and "Fort Wayne's NBC" which is on WPTA's 21.2 digital subchannel.
After three years in the Fort Wayne radio market, Amber Stone will exit Adams Radio Group later this month for an out of state opportunity outside of media. Ms. Stone does both mornings on newly reset Gold AC/WWFW (103.9fm, Fort Wayne) and middays on CHR/WJFX (107.9fm, New Haven).

Talking Stick Communications closes on their $2.4 million sale of the Warsaw portfolio of radio stations to Kensington Digital Media of Indiana. Tony Richards and Jack Didier lead Kensington. These radio stations include:
* News/WRSW(AM) and translator W259BJ (1480am, 99.7fm, both Warsaw) ("News Now Warsaw!")
* Country/WAWC (103.5fm, Syracuse) ("Willie 103.5")
Let's recap how the cluster was assembled:
In 2003, GBC Media, LLC sold WRSW(AM) and FM for $1.2 million.
In 2006, Bill Dixon sold WAWC for $430,000, plus a $170,000 consulting agreement.
In 2015, Progressive Broadcasting System sold the W259BJ translator for $60,000.

Next Monday, Star City Broadcasting's ABC affiliate/WPBY-LD (Channel 35, Lafayette) will add a half hour local newscast each weekday at 7:00pm. "Star City News at 7:00" will be the only local newscast in that weekday timeslot.
Where Are They Now? Former WYCM-FM morning host Larry "Big Red" Stevens recently joined NRG Media's WYTE "Today's Best Country" (Wausau, Wisconsin) as PD and morning host.

After 30 years of leading Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Broadcasting's N-T/WFYI-FM (90.1fm, Indianapolis) and WFYI-TV (Channel 20, Indianapolis), WTTV-TV President and CEO Lloyd Wright will retire next year. Mr. Wright, age 65, began his broadcasting career after graduating from Indiana University. Mr. Wright started off as a Director of Instructional Broadcasting at the Indiana Department of Education, and then worked for the Indiana University News Bureau. From there, it was off to Chicago, where he became Broadcast Operations Manager at WTTW-TV (Channel 11), before joining WFYI-TV in 1988. At WFYI, he started as Director of Program Production, before being appointed president and CEO in 1989.
On Saturday (09/15), CW affiliate/WISH-TV (Channel 8, Indianapolis) will expand their weekend morning newscast by starting a half hour earlier. "24-hour News 8's Daybreak" will now air from 5:30am until 10:00am.

We are currently on top in the ratings and are looking for someone who can help us stay there with relevant content and great radio each weekday. Our current mid-day host has spent 3 years with us and has decided it’s time for a change.
You should have 2+ years of commercial radio experience in a rated market. Familiarity with, and passion for Pop music is a must. Fort Wayne is a fantastic mid-sized city with a lot of great things happening here. You should be creative, passionate and professional. You should be able to fully relate to an active, millennial audience. The radio market is good here. It’s competitive. Our hosts know what great radio sounds like and you should as well. Can you entertain the city each day with exciting content, relevant real-life experiences? Can you work the phones (calls/texts), work social media and represent HOT 1079 at appearances and remotes?
Doing a live 10am-3pm show is priority #1. Some basic production chops would be helpful. We have a few sister stations in the building we may be asking you to help out with as well (gold-based AC and Country). Females strongly encouraged to apply.

Federated Media in Fort Wayne is looking for an experienced, multi-faceted News-Talk host for WOWO 1190AM/107.5FM’s morning show.
You’ll host “Fort Wayne’s Morning News” (FWMN) which airs 5A to 9A. It is a fast-paced presentation of the day’s top news, traffic, weather, sports, business news and farm news. It also airs live on MYTV from 5:30A-7:00A. Our morning host will work with a wide rolodex of local, state and national newsmakers ranging from local mayors, police chiefs, sheriffs and fire officials to Indiana’s Governor, Senators and Congressmen.
The Morning-Drive host is responsible for, but not limited to:
• Hosting FWMN from 5a-9a
• Prepping content for FWMN
• Reporting and following live breaking news events
• Reporting and researching local news events

• Audio editing and logging

They’ll need to be a morning person as our morning host shift can start as early as 4A and they must be comfortable on live television.
