The Young Lung Cancer Program was proud to be represented at this year’s WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon at Fenway Park. On Aug. 18, Co-Director Narjust Florez, MD, and Program Administrator Taryn Lipiner, MPH, joined the Dana-Farber community for the annual event, which raises critical funds for cancer care and research. The event was a great opportunity to raise awareness of young adult lung cancer and share more about the Young Lung Cancer Program

Join Us for the Inaugural Young Lung Cancer Program Virtual Forum
Join the Dana-Farber Young Lung Cancer Program for our inaugural virtual forum on November 19 and 21. Hear from experts and advocates, learn about the latest in young lung cancer care and research, explore supportive resources, and connect with others in the young lung cancer community.
Thursday, Nov. 19 | 5–7:15 p.m. ET
Saturday, Nov. 21 | 10 a.m.–12:15 p.m. ET
Attend one or both sessions based on your availability. This event is free, but registration is required.

Pickles Group Youth Programs
Pickles Group offers free, virtual peer support for kids and teens ages 6–18 who have a parent or caregiver with cancer. Through programs like Connect Over Cancer and Pickles Jars, youth can connect with peers, build coping skills, and find support from others who understand.

|
Virtual Fertility/Family Planning 4-Week Peer Program
Tuesday evenings starting in October
Dana-Farber's Young Adult Program now has a new peer program that offers young adults (18–40s) navigating fertility-related concerns during or after cancer treatment a supportive space to connect, share experiences, and explore fertility and family planning topics with peers and experts. The program includes four weekly facilitated Zoom sessions beginning in October, with participants encouraged to attend all or most sessions.

Sail Beyond Cancer
Sail Beyond Cancer offers free, private sailing experiences for people living with cancer and their loved ones, providing an opportunity for relaxation, connection, and respite on the water. Learn more or nominate someone for a sail.

Programs at The Healing Garden
The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden in Harvard, Massachusetts offers a variety of free virtual, hybrid and in-person programs and classes for those affected by cancer, including mindfulness, movement, expressive arts, and support groups.
|
|
|
|
Hope Scarves provides scarves paired with stories of encouragement from cancer survivors to people currently in treatment. Request a Hope Scarf for yourself at no cost, or send one as a gift to someone facing cancer.
