Are you interested in exploring careers outside of traditional academic positions? This workshop will provide an overview of the Career Center and ways it supports graduate students. Specifically, this workshop will cover creating and tailoring resumes, including how to add academic experience onto a resume and how to convert CVs into resumes. Register here.

The Conyers Scholars Program is currently accepting applications from doctoral and MFA students for the 2024-2025 academic year. The program explores connections between faith, learning, and vocation. It meets 3-4 times each semester for book discussions over dinner. Find more information here. Join the Biology, Environmental Science, and Anthropology departments for this research symposium. All graduate and undergraduate students are invited to attend and participate. Presenters are eligible to win prizes and awards, and lunch will be provided. Submit an abstract for a poster or short talk here by March 27th.

The Symposium seeks to examine hunger as a key driver of migration and explore ways in which food security, food justice, and food systems can be strengthened to address the large-scale movement of refugees and migrants from a Latin American perspective. During a three-day event, scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students will come together to explore the crucial intersections between food, migration, religion, economic opportunity, and human flourishing, including the culinary contributions of migrants to U.S. communities. EDL 6302 Teaching and Learning in Higher Education |
This 3 credit elective course is open to any and all graduate students. It meets Tuesdays 2-5. The course may especially be of interest to those who are considering enrolling in the TeaCHE program, as this course not only fulfills Category 1, but also incorporates work that is the basis for several other TeaCHE requirements, like syllabus design and teaching philosophy statements.
