The committee will gather tomorrow at the annual Board of Regents retreat to receive its charge. This will empower the committee to begin assembling and recommending to the Regents a group of highly qualified candidates in accordance with the University bylaws, which specify that Seton Hall's president will be a Roman Catholic priest.

One candidate then will be elected by the Regents to serve as University President.

We will continue to keep you apprised as the committee advances its vital work. I look forward to the University community’s support as the search for Seton Hall's 22nd president continues.

In the meantime, let me again express my tremendous gratitude to Dr. Passerini for her leadership of our University during this period and in the years to follow.
