Loves About Brebeuf
I love that Brebeuf has been a place where I have been able to grow, not only as a student, but as a person.  The classes I have taken have opened up new perspectives and pushed me to think in new ways.  Discussions open to all viewpoints have made me more accepting and understanding of different ideas. At Brebeuf, I have grown in my understanding of other’s beliefs and values, which has helped me form my own.
Favorite Class
My favorite class at Brebeuf has been Macroeconomics with Mr. Tague.  I was fascinated learning about how the economy works and Mr. Tague made the class interesting and engaging.
Future Plans
I will be attending the University of Notre Dame next year and plan on majoring in finance.
Teams & Co-Curriculars
Football
Academic Super Bowl Math Team
Student Council
National Honors Society
Intramural Basketball 2016 Champion

Random Facts
I was born in Olathe, Kansas.
I wear size 14 shoes.
Justin Yoon is my favorite football player of all-time.
What has been your favorite Brebeuf experience or most memorable moment so far?
My favorite Brebeuf experience was the exchange trip I took to Barcelona, Spain. I stayed with a host family and was fully immersed into their culture.  The Catalan people were so welcoming to everyone from Brebeuf.  I met so many amazing and interesting people.  It was incredible getting the opportunity to explore the city full of rich history, beautiful architecture, and tasty food. Walking through the Sagrada Familia and climbing Montserrat were just some of the highlights from this trip that I will remember for the rest of my life.
What did you do over Spring Break?
I went to Watercolor, Florida with my family and some of my friends.  We had a great time playing basketball, going to the beach, and just relaxing.
The trip to Barcelona obviously made a great impact on you.  Do you have plans on traveling in the future?  Dream travel destination(s)?
Going to Barcelona was my first time out of the country and it really opened my eyes to how amazing other places in the world can be.  It has given me the desire to become a more worldly person and visit as many new places I can.  My dream travel destinations would be New York, Venice, and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

Boys Lacrosse Fundraiser - Tonight

2017-18 Work-Study Information

Work-study is a component of the financial aid package for all incoming freshmen. In order to answer any questions and provide an overview of this process, please plan to attend an orientation on Wednesday, May 10, from 5:30-6:00 p.m. or Saturday, May 13, from 9:00-9:30 a.m. in the LGI.  This meeting should be attended by both the student and the parent(s).
There are two, three-week work sessions in the summer that mirror the summer school sessions.  Students can work from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. during the dates listed below.  Vending machines are available for snack foods or beverages.
  • Session 1: June 12-June 30
  • Session 2: July 10-July 28
Students will be assigned different types of work that include, but are not limited to: general school clean-up (building and grounds), maintenance, as well as office work to assist in the efficient running of the school.
During the school year, the work-study program takes place after school each day for 60 to 90 minutes and during school breaks when offices are open.
The maximum work-study grant is $1,000 based on 60 hours of work. The participating student does not receive a payment, but rather the work is credited against their tuition account. The credit is posted after the full 60 hours are worked.  Students who have not completed 60 hours by April 21, 2018 will receive credit for the hours they have worked at $16.67 per hour.  Parents will be responsible for paying the remaining balance to the school.
Please contact Melissa Grabowski at mgrabowski@brebeuf.org with any questions.

After-Prom 2017

Brebeuf Jesuit's Mothers Association will be hosting the 2017 After-Prom Party on April 22, 2017 from 11:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at Brebeuf Jesuit.
The After-Prom party welcomes students to come enjoy food, inflatable games and entertainment. In order to put on this great event, we need the help of parent volunteers. Please consider donating any of the requested items or taking a volunteer shift.  The results of our teamwork will ensure a safe and fun evening for our students.
Donated items may be dropped off at the Main Lobby Desk.
Setup/Decoration volunteers should check in with Julie Morton the morning of April 22. All evening shift volunteers should check in at the volunteer station at the After-Prom event.
Please direct any questions to the After-Prom Chair Julie Morton at julieRmorton@gmail.com.

Athletic Participation Documents and Online Registrations for the 2017-18 School Year

We are now accepting participation documents (click here to download) and online registrations (click here to register) for the 2017-18 school year.
Click here to register for SVSP Physical dates. When you click on the “click here to register” after you’ve decided which date works best, it will take you to an EZ Facility website. The page is set-up inconveniently, so scroll down a bit and under “Please select the desired registration type to continue,” select the button next to “I am an individual registering.”
Incoming Freshmen and Transfers
Incoming freshmen and transfers must have participation documents on file and be registered before attending any team-related event on campus (e.g. Wellness Center Orientation, strength & conditioning workout, open field/gym workout, Summer League, pre-season workouts, etc.).
Returning Braves
We have moved to a different online registration provider and the “REGISTER FOR SPORTS” button on brebeufathletics.org is no longer there. However, you will see "REGISTRATION" in the top menu bar. You must now click there and then click on “REGISTER FOR SPORTS”. Physicals from 2016-17 are good for 365 days, so students will not need to do anything except Register prior to Summer activities. Students must have participation documents on file and be registered prior to the first day of practice.  Click here to see those dates.
Participation documents completed by SVSP will be hand-delivered to the school. If students have their participation documents completed elsewhere, they can scan and email them to Mr. Weinstein at jweinstein@brebeuf.org, drop them off in the box on the rear of the main lobby desk, or hand-deliver them to Mr. Weinstein’s desk in the Athletic Department. To ensure items are not misplaced, it’s best to scan and email to Mr. Weinstein or hand-deliver them to Mr. Weinstein’s desk in the Athletic Department on the top floor of the Wellness Center.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Weinstein at jweinstein@brebeuf.org.

Diversity Dialogue - April 20

A new Diversity Dialogue has been scheduled for Thursday, April 20, at 10:05 a.m. in the Efroymson Auditorium.
Featured Speaker: U.S. Congresswoman Susan Brooks: “Why I am a Republican."
While discussing our diversity dialogues this year, several students proposed having one about diversity in political thought to help ensure that all Brebeuf students are respectful of political views with which they disagree. In today’s climate, many people seem to feel that they can’t speak up about their views for fear of being branded by others with a negative label. We hope this dialogue proves to be yet another way of promoting the value of listening to differing views with open minds.
Congresswoman Brooks will speak for 15-20 minutes, followed by open Q&A.

Girls Soccer Callout Meeting

There will be a girls soccer callout meeting for incoming freshman and their families on Thursday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m. in the LGI.

Get your tickets now and head to downtown Indianapolis to cheer on the Braves as they take on Franklin Central!
