Last Friday, Brebeuf Jesuit gathered together for the annual Blues Week Pep Rally. From a basketball competition (with the faculty and staff coming out as champions) to a surprise bucket drum ensemble, this pep rally had it all! The night ended with a huge Brebeuf Boys Varsity Basketball win over Bishop Chatard, as well as senior Simon Banks hitting an amazing 1,000 career points.

Loves About Brebeuf - I love that the teachers all want their students to succeed.
- I love the retreats.
- I love going to school with my sister, Tessa.
- I love seeing Leo Magid in the hallway.
Future Plans I am going to IU next fall and will be majoring in education! I either want to teach 5th grade or be a high-school english or math teacher.
Favorite Class My favorite class was ICP with Mr. Rott sophomore year or Theater 2 with Mr. Strader!

Random Facts - I’ve gone to camp in Wisconsin for 8 years, and this past summer I was a counselor for 10 ten-year-olds for nine weeks! I’ve gotten back from camp the night before school starts for the last 2 years.
- Freshman year, I had a spinal fusion to fix my scoliosis and I grew 2 inches in 6 hours.
- I’m a really picky eater (I don’t like pizza or pasta).
- I’m a part of the YoPhi teen board which is a youth philanthropy board and we are currently raising money for an education-based organization. If you are interested in donating, please send me an email!(amaurer19@amdg.brebeuf.org)
What is your current favorite show or series on tv, Netflix, etc? My favorite show on Netflix is Grey’s Anatomy or Grace and Frankie. (I strongly recommend watching Grace and Frankie). I also like Covert Affairs on Amazon prime.
What is the silliest/most irrational fear you have? I am really scared of birds. I have no reason to be afraid of them, but for some reason they scare me so badly.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be? Strawberries

SPECIAL BREBEUF FILM SCREENING: ANGSTOn Tuesday, February 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Efroymson Auditorium, Brebeuf Jesuit invites all parents to attend an exclusive screening of Angst, an IndieFlix documentary designed to raise awareness about anxiety. AP Exam Registration Opens Tomorrow
Advanced Placement (AP) registration opens this Friday, February 1, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. and will remain open from February 1-22, 2019. Late Registration begins February 23 at 8:00 a.m. and will incur a $10.00 late fee. Registration closes on Friday, March 1 at 11:59 p.m. Please note: All senior students taking an English, math or science AP course are required to take the exam. The IDOE will cover the cost of all English, math and science exams again this year.

3-on-3 basketbALL TOURNAMENTBrebeuf Jesuit will be hosting a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament for Brebeuf and Park Tudor students on February 2, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. in the Brebeuf Jesuit Gym. Proceeds will benefit the Matt English Foundation. $20 per team

Acoustic Sounds ConcertCome enjoy songs of inspiration on Wednesday, February 6 as our Varsity Singers and Chamber Orchestra present Acoustic Sounds in the Brebeuf Chapel. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m., $5 admission, free to all Brebeuf students. Music selections include songs from different faith traditions, PENTATONIX, Cyndi Lauper Mozart, and many others.
