The seasons are changing. Protect yourself and others by getting a flu shot. Flu clinics will be in full effect this month for students, faculty, and staff. All clinics will be on a first come first serve basis. Clinics will be held on the Allendale, Grand Rapids, and Muskegon campuses. Check the schedule to see what day works best for you!
Midterms are underway. Stay organized to reduce stress and testing anxiety. Getting enough sleep is very beneficial to your success. College students should sleep around 6-8 hours a night. Check out the Student Academic Success Center website for more information on how to be successful during midterms!
The PACES program offers professional development opportunities for students, helping you increase your professionalism, academic advancement, communication, engagement, and success. Check out the PACES website for events to attend this month. An in-person etiquette lunch will be held on November 3, students who attend will be able to network with community leaders and faculty members. In September, Chief Growth Officer, Hilary Doe was on campus to talk to graduate students about the future of Michigan. To learn more about the event, check out this article here. October is Sustainability Month and GVSU is known for our dedication to sustainability. This month there will be several events and initiatives happening to increase awareness on sustainability. Volunteer opportunities are available as well for community service hours. Check the Sustainability Month calendar for a full list of events.
GVSU is celebrating its45th homecoming this year! Homecoming is a time to join thousands of GVSU alumni, faculty, staff, students, and fans for a week of activities and events to celebrate being a Laker! Get yourtickets to watch the football team take on Michigan Tech at Lubbers Stadium on October 28 for the homecoming game. Check outthe homecoming calendar for all events, there is something for everyone!
