Dear SUNY New Paltz Community,
The Presidential Search Committee met virtually to conduct the final review of applications and selected a group of candidates for initial, face-to-face video interviews. After completing those interviews, I am pleased to announce the committee has identified a small group of candidates with whom we will schedule additional on-campus meetings.
As recommended in SUNY’s guidelines for presidential searches, we have worked with leaders within the College to put together a schedule with public forums taking place during the weeks of February 14 – March 1. Candidates’ names and general information on their backgrounds will be shared 48 hours prior to the beginning of their scheduled meetings. All candidates will participate in several forums with various constituents. All faculty, administrators, staff, students, and alumni will be invited to forums that will be made accessible in person and remotely. A presentation to the campus community and public will be held toward the end of the first day. We invite and encourage everyone to participate in these forums.
Attendees will be asked to provide feedback to the committee, which will be collected via an online survey. That feedback will assist the search committee in their final report to the College Council. All survey responses must be submitted by the end of the second day and the survey for that candidate will be closed the following morning. The dates are as follows:
