This weekend, some of our best undergraduates had the honor of competing in the second annual Big East Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium at Madison Square Garden. Interim Associate Provost Jonathan Farina, Professor Jose Lopez, Professor Dawn Apgar and I had the honor of judging 55 amazing poster presentations on an array of important topics from all different fields, including the sciences, social sciences, humanities, health, law, and business. We are so proud of our students, who presented excellent work and presented it very well. Thank you to Professor Sulie Chang and Professor Lopez as well as our faculty mentors for mentoring the students and coordinating with the Big East to plan such a great event.

Faculty should encourage their students in all fields to present at the upcoming Petersheim Academic Exposition, where faculty will select the student competitors for next year’s competition. In fact, abstracts are now being accepted for the Expo – details below.

| 35th Annual Reinkemeyer Research Day |
On Friday, March 17 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Bethany Hall, nursing researchers and clinical nursing experts from Seton Hall, as well as Hackensack Meridian Hackensack University Medical Center, Children’s Specialized Hospital - RWJBarnabas Health, Rutgers University, Atlantic Health System and Edinburgh Napier University (Scotland), will gather virtually to discuss the latest developments in nursing practice and research at the Annual Reinkemeyer Research Day. Hanover Research produces a bimonthly Grants Calendar centered on certain funding interests. The latest calendar reviews upcoming grant opportunities focused on Research Centers, covering a range of grant makers. Short-term targets with set deadlines are included alongside longer-term opportunities expected to occur across the next year and beyond. Access the calendar.

Additionally, Hanover's Grants Digest for Higher Education provides a succinct overview of notable grant competitions with deadlines in the coming months that may be of interest to a broad range of institutions. In addition to pertinent details regarding the scope and timing of each competition, this resource provides guidance on the level of support potentially available from Hanover for certain proposals, either at the Review, Revision or Production levels. This community space is not available to be reserved; rather, it is a space to gather informally, to relax, and to connect with colleagues. Faculty Innovation Grants: The Adobe Creative Project
The deadline to submit a proposal for the 2022-2023 Faculty Innovation Grants: Adobe Creative Project has been extended to March 31, 2023. With the help of the TLTC, Faculty Innovation Grants (FIGs) provide faculty members with the time, resources, training and support needed to explore innovative methods of infusing technology into courses. Creative approaches to technology integration directly benefit students by enhancing the in-demand digital literacy skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

File Management Techniques using Microsoft OneDrive for Business
OneDrive for Business is a cloud storage, file hosting service available to members of the Seton Hall community. With OneDrive, you can share files with others, create a departmental repository, and back up important files to access them from anywhere, and on any device. Attend this workshop, in-person or virtually, on Tuesday, March 21st at noon to learn best practices in file management and organization using OneDrive.

Registration Now Available: Conference on Women and Gender
Seton Hall’s annual Conference on Women and Gender will take place on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Seton Hall University's South Orange campus. It is free to attend, but registration is encouraged; registration is required for those interested in the free luncheon.

The conference will feature many panels from a wide variety of disciplines on the study of women and gender. We hope that you will support this significant academic event by attending and sharing the registration link with your students. Apply for The Mission Mentors Program, 2023-24
The Provost's Office, Mission and Ministry, Board Affairs and University Strategy, and other university centers and committees are announcing the third Mission Mentors Program. This program aims to promote faculty development in the Catholic intellectual tradition and the Catholic Mission of the university through a peer mentoring model. Together, faculty mentors and peers will develop a project that integrates innovative elements of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition into research, teaching activities, and/or experiential/service-learning initiatives. Applications should be submitted as a single PDF document to MissionMentors@shu.edu by 5 p.m. EST on Saturday, April 15.

Join Immaculate Conception School of Theology for its 2023 Lenten meditation series, “Reflections From The Holy Land” which explores the sites and locations of the Holy Land through written reflections authored by the School's seminary community.

The daily meditations will invite you, day by day, to reflect on the saving Mysteries and help better prepare you to celebrate the Paschal feasts. Reflections will be delivered via email through Good Friday, April 7. Subscribe to the series.
