UO EVENTS
  • Choose between tabletop and video games for the Weekly Game Night tonight, 6:30–9:30 in the Gaming Center (B018 Price Science Commons).
  • Students who are in a club on campus are invited to the World Series of Poker in the Redwood Auditorium (214 EMU) on Friday, May 16, 6:00–9:00 p.m. Play your cards right and win big for your club! Tickets are $5 for UO students.
  • Take a trip to space at the Price Science Commons Visualization Lab on Tuesday, May 20, at 2:00 p.m. See high-resolution images on a 50-million-pixel display from the Hubble and James Webb Space Telescopes, accompanied by calming instrumental music.
  • Hang out at the Night Market hosted by the Asian and Pacific American Student Union. Get some free boba and food, and catch the performances, prizes, tabling, and merch on Wednesday, May 21, 5:00–8:00 p.m. on the EMU Green.
  • Be seated for the production from University Theatre The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, with dates spanning May 23–June 8, at Hope Theatre in the Miller Theatre Complex. The story follows an eclectic group of six tween spelling bee participants. Tickets are free for UO students.
NOTEWORTHY
  • It’s easy to validate fare on EmX with the Umo app or tap card. Starting today, scan or tap as you board, just like on neighborhood LTD bus routes. On-board readers will be located at the front and rear doors of the bus.
  • Undergraduate students from all disciplines will present research, creative projects, data stories, and works-in-progress during the Undergraduate Research Symposium on Thursday, May 22.
  • Get a chance to win Duck Bucks by filling out the end-of-year survey about your health and well-being and how different UO programs and services impact your ability to flourish.
  • Existing parking permit holders can renew for summer term parking in their same zone beginning Monday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m.
  • Get to know the student winner and design for the Flock Card—the rebranded UO ID card.

  • Join the Outdoor Program for the Stress Less Friday bike ride. Meet at the Bike Program DIY Shop (008 EMU) on Friday, May 16, for an afternoon group ride. Sign up ahead of time for $5.
  • Visit the Men’s Resource Center (211 EMU), a space for men to find community, hang out, and learn about events, offerings, and available support.
