Join our brand-new 4-H Club created for any youth with a parent, guardian, caregiver, or sibling in the military! Our next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2026 10am-3pm at the STEM Innovation Center located in Green Bay.
Enjoy exciting, hands-on activities that YOU help choose. It’s a great way to connect, create, and explore together!

If you are interested in being in the Dog Project, go to 4honline.com and add Tailwaggers 4-H club and Dog Obedience so you receive future emails from the project. If you can’t add an additional club, please contact the 4-H Extension office (4h@browncountywi.gov or 920-391-4654) for assistance.
All members must be signed up by March 20 to participate in classes. Class registration will be held in March for those that signed up to discuss class selection, vet records, and equipment needed for training. This meeting information will be sent out directly to members closer to that date.
Training will be at Brown County Fairgrounds in the North Judging Barn (where the rabbits were housed during the fair) again this year.
Sunday, April 19 10am, we will be cleaning and moving our equipment into the building.
New Members only start training classes on Wednesday, April 22. All returning members will have their first training class on Wednesday, May 6.
We will train each week on Wednesday evenings starting at 6pm promptly: April 22; May 6, 13, 20, 27; June 3, 10, 17, 24; July 8, 15, 22, 29.
Please also mark your calendars for June 6 & June 7 for the Packerland Kennel Dog Show.
At the close of our training season, we will have our Graduation on Saturday, August 1.

Audience: 5th grade and older (with caregiver supervision)
When: March 2026 (Zoom meeting on March 24, 6:30-7:30 PM)
Registration: Registration will be open for youth in grades 5 and higher from now through January 5, 2026 (registration can be edited anytime before January 6).
Kits: There is a $5 fee for kits (financial assistance is available through the registration form; one kit per youth). Kits will be delivered to the county Extension office in mid-February; families will be notified when to pick up kits. Space is limited to the first 250 youth.

Winter Academy consists of three virtual sessions which provide youth with tools to set career and college goals, develop soft skills most important to employers, and build problem-solving skills. By applying, youth agree to actively participate in all three sessions live.
Winter Academy 2026 is limited to 20 youth participants and registration closes January 11, 2026.

Register Now for Dairy Quiz Bowl! |
Registration is now open for the State 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl held on February 7, 2026 11:30am-2pm at the UW-Green Bay STEM Innovation Building (2019 Technology Way, Green Bay)!
Competition in the 4-H Dairy Bowl encourages a 4-H member to develop a more complete knowledge of dairy animals and related subjects. This contest provides an educational dairy program for all dairy project members, including those who may not own a dairy project animal, and provides a way to develop alertness, self-confidence, teamwork skills, and mastery in the area of dairy science.
Be sure to complete your registration by January 19, 2026.

Brown County Fair YQCA & Educational Day |
The Brown County Livestock & Dairy Auction Committee invites all interested to be a part of our upcoming Informational Meeting/ In person YQCA Training/ Educational Event/Proficiency Contest on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Bay Port High School (2710 Lineville Road, Green Bay, WI 54313) from 7:00 am - 11:45 am. Everyone is invited: parents, students, past exhibitors, etc. All interested for the 2026 year are welcome.
NEW THIS YEAR:
1. We request all families/ attendees bring a computer or tablet. We will use this during the informational meeting.
2. If you have a new email address or will no longer have access to email (Example: graduating) please create a NEW account with the NEW email. Do not use your old account.
Registration for the YQCA portion for the January 17th event is REQUIRED by January 2nd, 2026.
Students can register for the meeting on the YQCA website. When choosing the course, please use the exhibitor's age as of January 1, 2026. If a student is 18 years old, they must complete the online training and are not able to earn the certificate by attending the in person YQCA training.
After registering, exhibitors must complete the Pre Test within the YQCA website. After the training, exhibitors must complete the Post Test within the YQCA website. If the Pre Test and Post Test are not complete, you will not be able to access your YQCA certificate post training.
All requirements and directions needed to be auction eligible are located in the Auction Portal and will be updated for the 2026 year by January 1st. Please wait to log into the portal until after December 31 for a fully updated portal.
All questions about the auction eligibility process will be answered at our event on January 17th. There will not be a make-up date for this event. Students unable to attend the day must complete the online YQCA and a different educational event option, listed within the portal.

New Process for Shooting Sports Certification
|
|
|
| Adult volunteers registering for a certification workshop need to plan well in advance to attend a 2026 certification workshop. These changes are now in place:
|
- Only approved leaders enrolled in 4H Online will be able to register.
- Registration fee will be paid using a credit card at the time of registration.
- Registration ends two weeks prior to the certification workshop date.
- The National online shooting sports one-time training required for all first-time shooting sports volunteers must be completed prior to attending a workshop. This online training can be completed before or at any point in the leader approval process.

Wisconsin 4-H Scholarships |
Wisconsin 4-H will award more than $20,000 in scholarships from established donor funds to outstanding Wisconsin 4-H members and alumni pursuing higher education this year. Wisconsin 4-H Scholarships are awarded to students based on demonstrated personal growth through 4-H, development and leadership in 4-H, academic performance, and future educational goals.
The application for the Wisconsin 4-H Scholarship process is now posted on the website and will open January 1, 2026.
Eligible seniors and 4-H alumni must submit applications electronically to our review committee no later than 11:59 p.m. on March 1, 2026. Applicants who are awarded scholarships will be notified via email by mid-May.

| Scholarships for Graduates |
Graduating 4-H members are eligible and encouraged to apply for the Brown County 4-H Scholarship. Applications must be received by the Extension Office by March 1, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted. Guidelines and the application form are available on the 4-H website. Reading and following the directions carefully is recommended as the judges consider these criteria when scoring applications.
