Thanks to all who took part in Brandon Stewart of Princeton University's TRIADS events. More than 50 faculty and students signed up for Stewart's Text-As-Data Short Course, while more than 70 RSVPed for his TRIADS Speaker Series talk on newspaper propaganda in China (pictured above). This was an excellent kick off to our semester.
If you missed Stewart's talk, you can watch it in full online.

TRIADS is headquartered at Jolley Hall, Suite 420. Our "Collaboratory" is designed to host interdisciplinary teams, fostering a creative environment for brainstorming, logistical planning, and more.
Jolley 420 includes an expansive whiteboard, basic office supplies, configurable tables, and a new high-performance workstation. It also includes a Smartboard where users can easily mirror laptop screens and set up hybrid meetings using an integrated camera/speaker.
Assistant Professor of Chemistry Robert Wexler is among the first WashU faculty to use the space as a member of his TRIADS Seed Grant team.
"We've enjoyed the convenient location on campus and the workspace's setup, with its large whiteboard and ample seating for us and our students," Wexler said. "We've had some very productive conversations in this space!"
TRIADS Faculty Fellows and Seed Grant Teams can apply online to use the Collaboratory space.
