Looking Forward
Dr. Gary Fisher, Head of School
A new beginning starts with a solid foundation.
Over the last several months, you have been able to hear some observations and encouragements provided by Kurt Unruh as he moves away from being Valor’s first and only Head of School. His service to our community is monumental and staggering, and the school may not have even been realized without his efforts. For myself and many Valor teachers and staff members, it was a conversation with him that allowed us to see, understand, and sign up for the vision of “preparing tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ.” Thank you, Kurt, for your faithful and powerful leadership and your steadfast commitment to our vision and mission.
God has blessed our school. One of the main reasons that He chooses to do so is that the leaders and team members in our school have always made decisions based on what honors God and is in the best interests of our students. I will have more to say in the future, but I want you to know that our entire team intends to continue to uphold those precepts, pursue “influence through excellence” and be active leaders in the next chapters in God’s amazing ministry known as Valor Christian High School. Our foundation is firm, and we look forward to what God has in store for us in the days and years ahead
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.”
Matthew 7:24-25
