HRSA Awards Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program Grants |
On July 1st, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced more than $200 million to support 42 Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Programs (GWEPs) across the country aimed at improving care for older Americans, including those experiencing Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. HRSA has shared a press release on the announcement.

Recently the work of several GWEPs from across the country were highlighted in a special supplement in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society (JAGS) |
JAGS, Volume 72, Supplement 3 is now live via Wiley Online Library.
The supplement issue is posted online July 31st, 2024, and free access is granted to subscribers and non-subscribers for three years – until July 31st, 2027
On August 1st, 2027, and onward, free access will be granted permanently/indefinitely to subscribers.

This conference, hosted by the UC San Diego Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and the San Diego Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center for Minority Aging Research (AD-RCMAR), brings together an internationally renowned faculty from UC San Diego and local partner institutions to present the latest developments in neurodegenerative research. We look forward to having you join us to learn more about the local landscape of this ever-evolving area of research and care.
