2024 Board of Directors Slate of Candidates Announced

Each year, REALTOR® members of Tri-County Suburban are provided the opportunity to cast votes for candidates seeking placement on the Board of Directors.

This year, there are 19 REALTOR® candidates to fill four open seats on the board. Click here to view candidates. Once on the site, each candidate has a page corresponding to their candidate questionnaire and a video addressing why they are running for election.

For the 2024 election, the online polls (via associationvoting.com) will open on Thursday, September 28th as an email notification will be sent to every REALTOR® member. The election will conclude at the 2023 Annual Membership Meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 26th. Tickets for the 2023 Annual Membership Meeting will be available for purchase starting next week.

Members may submit votes online until 1:00pm on Thursday, October 26th. Members will be asked to choose four (4) REALTOR® members to serve alongside the incumbent Directors. Members elected will serve a 2-year term to the Board.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As in the previous years, all members will ONLY receive the link to cast their vote via email. If you would like to receive a hard copy of the ballot mailed to you, that request must be filed with the Chief Executive Officer at least four (4) weeks before the election (September 28, 2023) and the ballot will be mailed to you.

In accordance with the Bylaws, additional candidates may be placed in nomination by petition by at least five percent (5%) of the REALTOR® members eligible to vote. The petition must be filed with the Chief Executive Officer at least four (4) weeks before the election (September 28, 2023).

Casting votes for the Board of Directors shapes the future of our organization, brings fresh perspectives, and empowers members to influence decisions that impact the organization's direction and success.

Tri-County Suburban REALTORS® continues to help members communicate the latest real estate market conditions with a set of Monthly Residential Market Reports for area counties and their respective school districts.

Note that these monthly reports cover all districts in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties and Philadelphia. Select Berks County school districts are also available. If you have questions or requests, please contact Lauren Davis

The National Association of REALTORS® has developed NAR en Español to support the needs of Spanish-speaking members. The platform includes tools and resources in Spanish to better serve REALTORS® and communities.

A panel of presenters comprised of a lender, an immigration attorney, a community advocate, and a REALTOR® will lead attendees in a conversation designed to help REALTORS® learn more about the needs of Hispanic buyers and tenants, so the REALTORS® can do better.

SRA: Ambler Passes Point-of-Sale Residential Occupancy Inspection Ordinance

Ambler Borough Council adopted Ordinance 1135 on September 5th, which requires residential resale occupancy permits and pre-permit inspections. The proposed ordinance includes inspections of sewer laterals, curbs and sidewalks, backflow prevention, and house numbers. In addition to the inspections, prior to proceeding to closing and the execution of a deed conveying ownership, the seller must provide an affidavit in a form provided by the borough that verifies the existence of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors within the residence. The ordinance can be viewed on Page 8 of the Sept. 5 borough meeting agenda.
