Congratuations, Pharmacist Dr. Traci White!

We are extremely proud to announce that Traci M. White, PharmD, PhC, BCGP, BCOP, is double board-certified in both Oncology and Geriatric Pharmacy.
Dr. White is just one of seven pharmacists nationwide to be double board-certified in these specializations.
She serves as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Oncology and Palliative Care at MMC's Cancer Center.

This critical specialty is an important way that we can continue to serve our community. Nearly 60 percent of new cancers are diagnosed in adults over the age of 65, making expertise for that specific age range even more important.

MMC Proudly Supports Cancer Warriors Week:
Activities Raise $235,000 For Local Patients

The Memorial Medical Center team is proud to support the Cancer Warriors Week each year. This year was no different, with MMC sponsoring or participating in numerous events, including Candles for Hope, a Zumba class, a 5k Fun Run and 1 Mile Walk, and the flagship event Bras For A Cause. In total, the Cancer Warriors Week raised roughly $235,000 that will directly benefit individuals fighting cancer in Las Cruces and the surrounding community. Thank you to everyone who supported this great cause.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, we also shared the next installment of our Memorial Difference campaign. At just 31 years old and a mom to three young children, Alexa Dreiling was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. The video highlights her journey and how the MMC team and our community rallied around the Dreiling family in their time of need. Watch the video here.

MMC Participates In Care Kits For Kids Drive

Collaborating with multiple local partners, the Memorial team supported the annual Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation’s annual Care Kits for Kids Hygiene Supply Drive. This drive gathers essential hygiene supplies for students who may not have access to items like soap, deodorant, shampoo and laundry detergent are more likely to miss school due to embarrassment or discomfort.

Public Board Meeting Scheduled Nov. 20th

On November 20th, the Memorial Medical Center Board of Trustees will be hosting a public board meeting where members of our local community are encouraged to attend and hear more about the hospital.
At the meeting, the Board will provide updates from the year on services, investments and more, and community members will have the opportunity to participate in an open dialogue with leadership. We hope this will be an opportunity to learn more about the critical healthcare services provided by MMC and how we can continue to support our community and greater region.
