Welcome to September and the start of a new school year! As the days get shorter and the leaves begin to change, it's a great time to think about the exciting opportunities ahead with 4-H. We are thrilled to welcome you back for another year of learning, growth, and fun!
Don't forget to enroll for the upcoming year and be a part of the amazing programs and activities we have planned. Stay tuned—our full calendar of events will be available by the end of September, so you can mark your calendars and plan for a year full of 4-H adventures!

4-H enrollment is now open!
Returning members and volunteers must enroll by November 1st to continue receiving 4-H program updates, registration information, and to remain members in good standing.
New members are welcome to join and enroll at any time during their first year of membership.

Become a Chippewa County 4-H Ambassador: Unlock Your Leadership Potential!
Are you ready to take your 4-H experience to the next level? The Chippewa County 4-H Ambassador program offers an exciting opportunity for you to develop essential life skills while exploring all that 4-H has to offer. Open to any Chippewa County 4-H member who has completed 6th grade, this program is your chance to shine.
As a 4-H Ambassador, you'll be the face of 4-H in our community! Your role includes promoting 4-H across the county, leading activities and events, and fostering teamwork and leadership among your peers. You'll also enhance your public speaking skills, serve as a public relations representative, and spearhead community service projects at both the club and county levels—all while making lasting memories and connections.

Does your youth enjoy landscape photography? Like to paint, draw, or use other textiles? Now is the chance to ignite the spark in their art and photography skills! Chippewa County Extension Office needs your help decorating our lobby! Submissions are welcome until November 1st. Winners will have their photo on our wall! Email, amber.gilles@wisc.edu photos or scans of art.

NATIONAL 4-H YOUTH DAIRY CONFERENCE
|
The National 4-H Dairy Youth Conference is the Place to be this Year!
National 4-H Dairy Youth Conference is September 29 – October 2, 2024 in Madison, WI. The conference is for students ages 15-18 years old (as of Jan. 1, 2024), who are eager to learn more about the dairy industry. Students will have the chance to go on different farm tours, and other industry-focused tours, listen in on different speakers, and be able to attend World Dairy Expo. Members experience four days of learning and being able to create connections with others within the dairy industry.
Registration Information: Registrations for both teen conference delegates and chaperones are due by September 11, 2024. The registration fee for 2024 is $650/person. This includes lodging Sunday – Wednesday night, most meals, and transportation during the conference. There may be an opportunity to still attend if there isn’t a chaperone coming from your area. Attention to youth in grades 6-8! If you take interest in the arts or want to experience something new, considering signing up for 4-H Arts Camp!
Arts Camp is offered to youth in grades 6-8 and will take place on October 5-6, 2024. This camp will allow youth to explore different types of art including theater, music, visual arts, dance, and more!

STATEWIDE SERVICE PROJECT

Wisconsin 4-H Clubs – join us to “pledge our hands to larger service” in this year’s Statewide Service Project for National 4-H Week! Clubs are encouraged to participate in a community service project during (or around) National 4-H Week – October 6-12. Let’s make a big impact on our local communities and live the 4-H Pledge!

Save the date and get ready to Spark New Connections at this year’s 4-H Fall Forum, November 2-3 in Stevens Point! Open to youth in grades 7 & up and adult volunteers; we hope you’ll consider joining to learn new ideas for your club, spark some new project ideas, and meet other members from around the state! Registration will open September 3rd in 4-H Online.

Educational Scholarship Applications will open on October 1st, 2024! If you are interested in statewide and National Educational Experiences, this is the perfect opportunity to recieve additional funding.

Wisconsin 4-H is excited to announce details for the 2025 Advanced Space Academy! Advanced Space Academy will take place from February 15-22, 2025, and youth will travel to Huntsville, AL via coach bus and get the opportunity to train like an astronaut, learn team building skills at the Space Camp Challenge Course, participate in SCUBA diving at the underwater astronaut trainer, and learn a ton more about Space and STEM! You can see additional program details on Space Camp’s website.
Registration is open to youth in grades 10-12 for the 24-25 4-H year, and the cost is $2,700/per person. Registration will be open in 4HOnline from September 4-30, 2024. We hope to see you when we blast off in February! Funding is available through the leaders association, apply for educational experience funding above.
