VBS Park Party Tonight at Liberty Park
Everyone is invited to join your PHUMC friends at Liberty Park tonight at 5:30 for Pizza and Sno Cones. Parents must stay at the park with their kids. Even if you couldn't make VBS, we hope our PHUMC family will join us at Liberty Park for a time of fellowship and fun.

| Summer Session Bible Study Continues Tomorrow
Join Pastor Dawn for a 3-week mini session of our Thursday morning Bible study. We met Thursday, June 11, and we'll meet on the 18th, and 25th at 10:00 am in the Garden Room for a deep dive into one of the shortest books of the Bible, Philemon. Hope to see you there!

| This Sunday our kids will lead us in worship and share some of what they learned. Parents and kids meet in the Worship Center at 9:30 am Sunday to practice. All kids are welcome to attend even if you missed VBS; we've got a part for you! During July, we will hear from some of our PHUMC members as they share what their go-to VBS story would be and why. I am excited to share this time with you each Sunday over the next couple of months, and I hope this time together brings back some good VBS memories of your own and inspires you to reflect on your own go-to VBS story.

It won't be long before we welcome our new Minister for Youth and Outreach Ministries. Anne Marie and her family have had to readjust some plans but Anne Marie, her husband, Cortez, and their 2 year old son, Tezzi, plan on moving this week. Stay tuned for days and times we can aid them in moving in!
Anne Marie's official start date will be Sunday, June 28, but the youth and families will welcome her at a pool party Saturday, June 20 at the Henry home. As they settle, we want to aid them in the most helpful way, so we will be collecting gift cards. You can either contribute to a Walmart gift card (see Pastor Dawn) or purchase a gift card to a local place to eat and bring it to the church office so they have plenty of options while they unpack. Please get these to the church office by Sunday, June 21, and please be in prayer for Anne Marie and her family as they embark on a new journey with Parkway Hills.

| Sunday I spent some time in worship thanking the many individuals who have made our youth ministry possible this past year. I lifted an entire list of names, and I know there were some I forgot. Our youth passed out bags of peppermints while saying a personal "Thank You!" If you missed worship Sunday, June 14 and you have played a part in making youth happen this past year, know we see you, we appreciate you, and we give thanks for you! And if you see a basket of peppermint goody bags with a thank you sticker lying around the church, grab yourself one, for we do best the things we do together.

| Affordability is being thrown around in all the talking points, and we know affordable housing is a constant source of discussion. There is a way for us to do more than talk and worry. Habitat for Humanity has been around for 50 years aiding in providing affordable housing for those who might never have been able to own a home. Parkway Hills has worked alongside Habitat for Humanity through providing funds and most importantly, signing up to help with the builds. Our next work day is Saturday, June 27 from 12:45 to 4:00. We need 12 individuals to cover our slot. You must be at least 16 to participate. Click here to sign up today!

Mark the Date! Sunday, July 5: Brunch Worship
Join us at 10:00 am Sunday, July 5 as we worship by sharing table. We will sing, pray, fellowship and share table as we gather together for worship. Church will provide the drinks. Please bring a breakfast dish to share. No Sunday School and No Livestream.

| Sunday Morning Summer Fun
During the summer months our PHUMC kids, preK-3 through rising 5th, will meet together in the Garden Room at 9:30 for a time of faith development and fun. June will focus on some of the Bible's MVPs named in the Book of Hebrews. In July, they will discover ways to use their own voice to share about Jesus as they look at characters found in the Book of Acts. We’ve got some fun themes for each Sunday to go alongside these stories, so check out our game plan and come learn and grow this summer with your PHUMC friends.
June 21: Worship Prep during Sunday School. Meet in the Worship Center at 9:30.
June 28: Doughnut Sunday
July 5: Brunch Worship at 10:00 am. Bring a dish to share. No Sunday School.
July 12: Art Sunday

Confirmation Retreat: One of our first events with our confirmands is a retreat all about the Bible, what the Bible is, what it is not, and how we read and understand certain areas of the Bible. We are finalizing all the information and will get it out ASAP.
Sunday as our PHUMC kids met for their first night of VBS, our Bridge tweens made a Walmart run to purchase food for the Blessing Box in Madison.

Saturday, June 20: Welcome Pool Party for Anne Marie Daniel at the Henry Home for our Youth families, 5-7 pm.
Saturday, June 27: Habitat Build 12:45 to 4:00 pm. Must be at least 16 to participate. Let Pastor Dawn know if you plan to attend.
Sunday, June 28: Mountain T.O.P. prep meeting with youth and adult volunteers. 5:30 to 7:30.
July 5-12: Summer Mission Experience with Mountain T.O.P. We have added an extra day so our youth can go whitewater rafting on the Ocoee. Youth will return Sunday, July 12.
