Student Spotlight
Ben Newman '19
Loves About Brebeuf I love the people that work at Brebeuf, as over these last four years I’ve become pretty close with some of them, especially the ones in the language department even though my Spanish and Latin are trash. Brebeuf’s soccer team has always been great making soccer season by far my favorite time of the year. The mission trips Brebeuf offers are great opportunities for students to grow, and I highly recommend the Pine Ridge Trip from among them.
Future Plans I plan on attending the University of Cincinnati, Lindner College of Business.
Favorite Class Right now it has to be English with that man Chuck Fanara, but my favorite class ever while at Brebeuf would probably be my freshman year Spanish class with Señora Beck.
Teams & Co-Curriculars - Soccer team
- Outdoor Club Member
- Intramural Basketball
- Young Democrats
- Jewish Student Union
Random Facts - I am the unofficial Captain of the soccer team.
- I ate the Big Ugly Burger one time in approximately ten minutes.
- My friend and I discovered a shipwreck via kayak.
- I’ve caught a goose with my bare hands.
- I like to read.
What is your current favorite show or series on tv, Netflix, etc? Game of Thrones
What is the silliest/most irrational fear you have? That I’ll never end up taller than my mom.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be? Cheeseburgers

Efroymson Auditorium Risers
| |
In preparation for Oklahoma!, Brebeuf Jesuit seeks to enhance the audience experience in the Efroymson Auditorium by adding modular risers that offer graduated seating, thereby ensuring every audience member has an assigned seat and unobstructed view of the stage. These risers provide seating for 180 people, allowing for 225 total seating in the Auditorium. Two levels of funding are available: - Fund a section: $1,300
- Fund a chair: $325
We’ve raised $43,000 towards our $48,500 goal! To hear more about this project from Theatre Director Tobin Strader, pick up a copy of The Arrow!

host family needed
Are you interested in hosting a French student this summer? Le Caousou Jesuit High School (Brebeuf’s French exchange school in Toulouse, France) is looking for a family to host a 17-year-old female student for 3-4 weeks in the summer, any time after July 8. Capucine’s English is excellent, so there is no need for anyone in the family to speak French. There is a weekly stipend associated with this opportunity to help cover expenses.
