Self Care Corner
This month I want to emphasize self-love. This part of the newsletter is indeed called the "Self-Care Corner" but at the root of self-care is self-love. Self-love is the very real process of extending love to yourself. The deep affirmation to yourself that you are enough as you are. Extending grace when you don't feel so great about yourself. I encourage you to see the humanity in yourself. Just as you easily love and support those all around you, take more than a moment to extend that same love to yourself.
With that - there are no specific exercises I am recommending this month. Give yourself space to really contemplate what it is that you need to feel that love. Personally, I'm going to ease up on some of my own negative self-talk and give myself permission to step out of "doing mode". I'm going to try my best to disrupt that voice and those ruminating thoughts that lead to self-doubt.
As Danette shared in the learning community call, you cannot fill anyone elses cup when yours is empty. You all give so much - it's okay to take care of yourself in the process.
