Faculty Q&A with Josh Hoffman

Before Josh Hoffman even set foot on Valor's campus, a series of connections led him to coach a group of Valor lacrosse players in a California tournament.
Two years later, he shares with us his improbable journey to becoming Valor's newest Dean of Students and boys lacrosse coach.

Course Request Week

From April 8-11, returning students will be submitting their course requests for the 2019-2020 school year.
Students must be enrolled to request courses. Any student who has not fully completed the re-enrollment process will not be able to submit their requests.
If a student has a question about course decisions, freshmen students should dialogue with their 9th Grade Seminar Teacher. Sophomore and junior students can contact their Academic & College Counselor and also be in communication with their current teachers.
Please take some time to read through all the information about this process over Spring Break and Practicum week. You can also find this information by clicking "Course Request Week" in the Quicklinks menu.

AP Pre-Administration Paperwork

If your student is taking an AP test this spring, they are required to come to the Valor Center Upper Lobby anytime from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm on April 2 or 3 to complete their test administration paperwork. They should plan to spend 45 minutes filling out the paperwork.
Contact Sheila Beckie with any questions.

Submitting Spring Break Service Hours

If your student served over Spring Break, they can submit service hours here.
Any student who served on a Discovery experience over break must first fill out a trip assessment before they will receive service hours. Log in here to access team assessments
If you have any questions, email the Discovery office

Safety and Security Update Reminder

As stated in the March 10 Weekly, beginning April 1, the main entrance doors to the Academic Building will be locked during regular school hours.

Students, faculty and staff will use their proximity card to gain entrance. Visitors, including parents, will use a video intercom that allows our front desk staff to unlock the door remotely. Clearly visible signage will direct visitors to the location of the intercom and the protocol for checking in at the front desk for campus visitation.
If you have more questions, please view the full announcement in the March 10 Weekly or contact Tige Watson.
