Swing by during free community hours (Monday to Thursday, 12-2 p.m.) to play a few quick challenges, and pick up free emergency preparedness materials. Or grab your friends, buy a ticket and tackle the full coffee-shop-themed escape room parked on the plaza all week. The escape room is also available to book for team building sessions!

Weigh in on the 2026-2027 tuition rate |
Based on forecasted revenues and expenses for PSU, the Tuition Review Advisory Committee (TRAC) is considering two tuition increase options for the upcoming academic year. Please see the tuition flyer (linked below) that summarizes these options and provides more information.
To inform its guidance to President Ann Cudd and the Board of Trustees, TRAC would like to receive feedback from the PSU community on these tuition scenarios. The survey is open through Friday, March 13.

Call for proposals at the Institute on Aging |
The Institute on Aging is soliciting proposals for the 2026 Gerontology Education and Research Initiative (GERI) faculty grant program to support faculty-led research projects on topics that affect older adults, their families, and communities. Applications for the 2026-2027 funding cycle are due April 15. There will be an information session on Thursday, March 19 at 2 p.m. Reach out to betterwithage@pdx.edu with any questions.

Couples wanted for psychology study |
PSU researchers are recruiting couples for a study focused on supporting partners who are concerned about a loved one’s alcohol use. Led by Psychology faculty member Cynthia Mohr, the study also seeks to better understand how to help couples strengthen their relationship and communication. Education Abroad is accepting proposals for Faculty-Led Programs in Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall 2027. The submission deadline is March 31. Please note that late submissions will not be considered.
Faculty and instructional staff interested in leading a program are encouraged to review the Program Leader Toolkit for detailed guidance on proposal requirements, review criteria, timelines, and required Program Leader Development Trainings.Â

Celebrate Social Work Month |
In celebration of Social Work Month, the School of Social Work will host a special presentation by a PSU PhD in Social Work and Social Research program alum, Heidi Allen. In this talk, titled Psychedelics as Medicine - Preparing Social Work to Meet the Moment and Lead a Movement, Allen will discuss the assorted legal frameworks guiding psychedelic use in the U.S., situated in the indigenous and historical context, and will conclude with a moderated Q&A session.Â

Move with the President returns this week |
Move with the President is a series of physical activity opportunities where staff, faculty, and students can interact with President Ann Cudd and get some exercise. This week the president is partnering with Campus Rec to offer Move with the President: Indoor Climbing! Staff will be present to facilitate and instruct, all equipment is provided, and no experience is necessary. This event is open to the entire PSU community, no Rec Center membership required, just bring your PSU ID card for access.

Mixed Pickleball Doubles is back! |
It's almost time for Campus Rec's 5th Annual Faculty/Staff Mixed Pickleball Doubles Tournament! Next Thursday, March 12, partner with a colleague and connect with others from across the PSU campus community. The tournament is free for all PSU faculty and staff, in beginner and advanced divisions. All equipment is provided, and courts are open for practice starting at 3 p.m. Need extra practice time?
