Mark your calendar for Daylight Saving Time (March 8), Spring Break (March 16 - 22), and Cesar Chavez Holiday (March 31). Be sure to take a moment to nominate a colleague or team for the 2026 Recognition of Excellence Awards, submissions due by March 6.

Student Employee Scheduling During Spring Break | March 16 – 22
When school is not in session due to semester breaks (outside of the academic semester), continuing Student Assistants may work up to a maximum of 40 hours per week, but may not be scheduled to work overtime. Read more here.
- Cesar Chavez Holiday Campus Closure | March 31
The Campus will be closed on Tuesday, March 31st in observance of César Chávez Day. - Summer & Fall 2026 Fee Waiver Priority Enrollment Period | Now Through April 24
The CSU Fee Waiver module is currently available for Summer and Fall 2026 applications. In order to ensure timely processing, please submit your application no later than April 24, 2026. Read more here. -
Save the Date! 60th Annual Staff Service & Recognition of Excellence Awards Event | May 28
Each year, the University honors staff, managers and auxiliary employees on their 5, 10, 15, and other five year service increments. For more information or to view a listing of Employees Scheduled to be Recognized for their Years of Service to the University at the 2026 Event, go here.
- A New Human Resources System is Coming
Human Resources is excited to share that we have begun implementing the Common Human Resources System (CHRS) at CSUN as part of Wave 5 of this project. Be on the lookout for more information in the coming months, CHRS is anticipated to go live March 2027.
