UFF application deadline: Tuesday, January 14, 2025 - Cross-Disciplinary Research Fund (CDRF)
Supports the establishment of collaborative research partnerships within research centers and institutes or between two or more diverse disciplines that encourage applications to externally funded opportunities.
CDRF application deadline: Wednesday, January 15, 2025 - Humanities Facilitating Fund (HFF)

New Access to Text- and Data-Mining Platform |
GW now has access to ProQuest TDM Studio, a text- and data-mining platform that provides researchers with access to vast amounts of ProQuest's content for computational analysis. The tool allows users to create and manage data sets, apply text mining techniques, and extract insights from a wide range of academic and news sources. Join GW Libraries and Academic Innovation on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM for a hands-on workshop to explore ProQuest TDM Studio.

Updated Guidance for Administration of Federal Awards |
Several changes to Uniform Guidance, the set of federal regulations that govern the administration of federally sponsored grants and cooperative agreements, became effective on October 1, 2024. These revisions impact day-to-day activities related to managing grants and submitting proposals and include updated cost principles, changes to prior approval requests and enhanced audit requirements. Read more about the Uniform Guidance revisions.
Other federal agencies (NIH, NSF, NASA, DOD and DOE) have updated guidance as well, including on the use of common forms for Other Support disclosures. For additional sponsor-specific updates, visit the newsfeed on the OSP homepage.

Prohibition of Participation in Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs |
Funding agencies are implementing requirements that prohibit federal awardees from participating in Malign Foreign Government Talent Recruitment Programs (MFTRP). To ensure compliance with these obligations, GW is currently not allowing researchers with federal funding (active and/or pending) to participate in MFTRPs. To learn more and read definitions for MFTRPs, visit the Office of Research Security website.
