For several years, Mr. Baisden programmed and was behind the microphone at crosstown Sarkes Tarzian Hot AC/WAJI (95.1fm, Fort Wayne).
Northwest
At Neuhoff Media's Country/WKOA-FM (105.3fm, Lafayette), afternoon drive host Jay Rush exits. Dave Patrick moves to afternoons. At sister Classic Hits/WASK-FM (98.7fm, Battle Ground), Dave Patrick moves from afternoons to nights. Finally, Shamus returns to mornings alongside Annie James on "K-105" ("Shamus and Annie"). Shamus had handled middays on "K-105" for nearly a year.
In a story you'll first read about here, Adams Radio Group (Valparaiso) promotes Alycia Tassone from part time to full time. Ms. Tassone now does afternoon traffic reports for the cluster, and contributes in the newsroom.
Central
On Friday evening, police arrested Entercom's CHR/WZPL (99.5fm, Greenfield) afternoon host Zach Babb ("Zakk On Air") after he crashed his SUV into another vehicle driven by an Indianapolis chef and restaurateur. The Indianapolis Star reports that Mr. Babb (age 29) faces two counts of OWI. Mr. Babb has a Wednesday (August 9) court appearance. Entercom hasn't said whether Mr. Babb still works for WZPL, but a late Sunday evening WZPL website check shows "zpl" as the host from 3pm until 7pm.
Where Are They Now? Former WXIN-TV reporter Eric Levy joins the anchor team at Central Florida News 13 in Orlando, Florida. That's a cable 24 hour local news channel.

August 6: In 1947, 820am in Evansville signs on as WIKY. Today, it's WSWI. In 1947, 102.5fm in New Castle signs on as WCTW. Today, it's WMDH-FM.
August 7: In 2011, former then-WZZQ (107.5fm, Terre Haute) APD/MD/DJ Debra Meeker ("Debbie Hunter") passed away at age 47.
August 8: In 1967, 93.5fm in in Morganfield, Kentucky signs on as WMSK-FM. It later moved to 95.3fm, and today, it's WKVN.
August 10: In 1947, 1420am in Michigan City signs on as WIMS, and remains so today. In 1982, 95.3fm in Sullivan signs on as WNDI-FM, and remains so today. In 2005, WJZL-FM (93.1fm, Clarksville) flipped formats from Jazz to Classic Rock and became WTFX.
August 11: In 2000, Richard M. Fairbanks died. Age 88. Fairbanks Broadcasting owned 1070am and 93.1fm in Indianapolis. In 2003, Muncie radio GM Greg Delmonaco died. Age 51. In 2014, WKBV(AM) (1490am, Richmond) signs on their FM translator (W266CE at 100.9fm).
August 12: In 1985, 91.5fm in Columbia City signed on as WJHS, and remains so today. In 2003, Jason Samuel begins as GM at WGCS-FM in Goshen. In 2011, longtime WITZ/Jasper GM Earl Metzger dies. Age 69.

Position Overview
This reporter will join an award-winning newsroom to report and produce regular spot and feature stories, and be the local host for All Things Considered. Will produce and moderate community forums such as our regular Issues and Ales and participate in other station events.
Major Responsibilities
As a reporter, will create stories that engage listeners and keep them informed about our region. Prepare spot news, long-form features and interviews that dive deeper into community issues and find imaginative angles for human interest stories that surprise and engage our audience.
As a host, will write, edit and deliver newscasts during one of 89.1 WBOI’s key day parts and provide an engaging voice during local breaks. Occasional live hosting during breaking news may also be required. The host will be the sole board operator; knowledge of broadcast equipment is preferred.
Other duties as assigned, including participation in on-air fund drives.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcasting or related field required. A minimum of two years journalism experience preferred.
Excellent writing skills and a strong sense of NPR-style story construction.
Demonstrated radio editing and production skills. Experience with platforms like Audacity, Audition, Pro Tools or similar programs.
Initiative in generating story ideas and long-form features and interviews.
Ability to adapt stories quickly for multiple platforms. Knowledge of web content management systems and social media engagement a plus.
Excellent knowledge of studio board operations and polished on-air presentation desired. Experience hosting at an NPR station a plus.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a small news/production team.
Be willing to work some evening and weekends hours if needed.
Able to travel throughout the region and work flexible hours when necessary, including reliable vehicle, current driver license, clean driving record, and adequate auto insurance
