This Advent season, Parkway Hills invites you to wait actively. Every day through December 28th, we will journey together through a daily devotion from Enuma Okoro's book, "Silence and other Surprising Invitations of Advent." If you don’t have a small group on Sunday mornings, you are invited to join Pastor Flowers in the Hope classroom, (located in the office), to reflect on Okoro’s meditations. We invite you to commit to worship; to wait and seek as we sing, pray, and hear God’s Word. Invite a friend to join us!

December 3rd: Invitation to Seek (If you missed it, you may listen here or watch here) 
December 10th: Invitation to Prepare (Our children’s voices will aid in worship through song this day!)
December 17th: Our Annual Adult Choir Cantata, "Christmas Mosaic"
December 24th: Invitation to Receive “It’s Christmas Eve All Day!” Scripture, Song, Candles and Communion at 10 am, 4 or 6 pm
December 31st: Invitation to Proclaim One Worship Service at 10 am

Wreath JOY!
Not only did we have a great time together creating beautiful wreaths last Saturday, but when we delivered them... you would have thought we drove up to The Home Place with an armored truck filled with gold. The staff and residents could not have been more excited and appreciative of the love shown through this simple gesture. A big "thank you" goes to Teresa Whitehead for organizing this effort, and also to all who came out to share God's love with glue guns, holiday picks and ribbon!

Reading Fun!

Last Friday, we shared the love of reading, a healthy snack, and a craft with some very appreciative young boys and girls at East Flora Elementary School! The next scheduled reading opportunites are March 2nd for Read Across America Day, and March 9th for our spring quarter craft, snack and reading program for Ms. Smith's preschool class. (Can you find #flatwesleyparkwayhills hidden in the midst of this sweet class?)

What a great turnout we had at Schlotzsky's Monday night in support of our Backpack Buddies Ministry! It was heart-warming to see so many from our church family participate. While raising funds for a worthy cause, we also raised awareness in our community about this special ministry. Click here to see more pictures from the evening.
