The data is in, and it shows that November and December are the best times to purchase a home. The combination of fewer buyers and homes sitting on the market for a more extended amount of time creates the perfect environment for buyers. It provides more leverage, and it is a genuine buyer's market.

Market Trends

The second-quarter reports are in from the Seattle area and around the sound. Inventories continue to be scarce in Western Washington, which has created a climate where buyers are increasing their geographic search radius. On the positive side, low-interest rates coupled with strong job creation in the area has only strengthened the attraction of buyers to the area. The coming months are expected to be a balanced climate for both buyers and sellers.
