Good afternoon De La Salle families,
With the rainy season now upon us, it brings with it new challenges as we will see more and more of the students move indoors for lunch and break. To help with the congestion, we have opened the Gym, made seating adjustments in the Hofmann Center, as well as added more tables and chairs under the tent to give the students additional locations to sit and eat while maintaining a safe distance from each other.
We have been extremely fortunate that we have not had one transmitted case on campus to this point. It is because of the efforts of our entire community that this has been made possible. We ask you as parents and guardians to remind your son to remain diligent. It is our shared responsibility to keep our community safe.
Athletics Update - January 29th
With the removal of California's COVID-19 stay-at-home order on January 25th and the return to the colored tier guidance, five De La Salle Sports teams (Cross Country, Golf, Tennis, Swimming & Diving, and Track & Field) will be able to start competitions. For specific team information or questions, please contact the varsity head coach for each sport directly. Head Coaches' email addresses are available through the Coaches Directory on the De La Salle Athletics website at DLSSpartans.org.
Baseball will be allowed to start competition once Contra Costa County moves into the Red Tier. Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, Volleyball, and Water Polo can begin competing in the Orange Tier, and Basketball and Wrestling will be allowed to compete once the county is elevated to the Yellow Tier.
As always, we thank you for your commitment and partnership in this journey
